A pattern turns a simple room into a math problem. Every repeat has to land in the same place across the seam, or your eye catches the jog from across the room. We measure the repeat before we order, add material for the match, and cut so the pattern runs square to the longest wall. Then we set the seams with a seam iron and tape and stretch the whole field tight.

What your carpet is doing tells us which service you need. Ripples across the middle of a room mean the carpet slipped off the tack strip, and a power stretcher usually puts it back. A burn, a tear or a pet stain is a patch job, and we cut the donor piece from a closet so the pile direction matches. A worn lane down the hall or backing that has delaminated is not fixable, and you are better off replacing the room.
Carpet repair handles the damage you can point at. Carpet stretching handles tension. We check the backing before we promise either, because a stretch will not hold on carpet that has come apart from its own backing.
Pick the construction for the room, then pick the color. Broadloom comes in 12 ft and 15 ft rolls, and that width drives where the seams have to fall. A 13 ft wide bedroom off a 15 ft roll is one clean piece. The same room off a 12 ft roll needs a seam, so we place it out of the walking path.
Stairs are their own trade. Waterfall runners roll over the nose; cap-and-band runners wrap it. Wool needs a dry cut and holds a stretch beautifully. Commercial floors often go to carpet tile, so a stained square gets swapped instead of the whole suite.
The doorway is where jobs get sloppy. Carpet plus pad sits at one height. Engineered hardwood, click-lock laminate and LVP each sit at another. We work out the finished heights first, then cut a transition strip, a reducer or a stair nosing to bridge them without a lip you catch your toe on.
