Shared Walls Change How We Seam a Floor
A townhouse is a narrow rectangle, usually under standard carpet roll width, and that is quietly good news. Laid the long way, most townhouse bedrooms and living rooms take no seam at all, which removes the single most common place a carpet fails over time. Where a seam is unavoidable, we put it out of the daylight and out of the main walking line, then seam it hot with a seam iron and tape and roll it properly rather than leaving it to settle. Stairs are where the townhouse job lives
